The Intelligent Systems research group at the University of Granada has been developing its research in various cutting-edge topics in Artificial Intelligence since 1993. These topics include the development of Artificial Intelligence techniques explainable through fuzzy systems, problem solving with Big Data techniques, as well as automating the generation of experience from data analysis, with the aim of feeding, training and improving key processes in cognitive systems (knowledge representation, reasoning about actions and learning). The ultimate purpose is to maximise the impact on the data value chain, transforming it into knowledge, to develop decision support systems in applications that require sequential decision making such as Medicine, Intelligent Transportation and Predictive and Prescriptive Analytics.
The group also has extensive experience in knowledge transfer, both in contracts with companies and in the creation of two spin-offs related to Artificial Intelligence.
